About Quality Trucks

What is Quality Trucks?

Quality Trucks is the truck division of Quality Equipment & Parts, a family owned forestry and heavy equipment dealer in Florida. We are a certified upfitter of heavy truck chassis, and we build grapple trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks and specialty bodies in house in North Florida. We also sell inspected used trucks and provide parts, service and financing for everything we sell.

Where is Quality Trucks located?

We have two Authorized Service Centers in Florida. Lake City: 4894 NW US Highway 41, Lake City, FL 32055, phone (386) 754-6186. Belleview: 7722 SE 126th Place, Belleview, FL 34420, phone (352) 644-8799. Both are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Is Quality Trucks the same company as Quality Equipment & Parts?

Yes. Quality Trucks is the truck brand of Quality Equipment & Parts (QEP), the same team that sells and services loaders, chippers and skid steers from Lake City and Belleview. The trucks now have their own name and their own focus, with the same people, the same parts shelf and the same service shop behind every build.

What is a grapple truck?

A grapple truck is a heavy duty truck fitted with a hydraulic knuckleboom loader and a grapple, usually over a debris or dump body. The operator uses the grapple to pick up logs, brush, storm debris, bulk waste and other loose material and load it into the body without hand work. Tree services, land clearing contractors, municipalities and storm cleanup crews rely on them.

Buying a truck

What kinds of trucks do you build and sell?

Grapple trucks with rear mount, front mount or behind the cab loaders on debris bodies; dump trucks with steel dump and debris dump bodies; roll-off trucks with Galfab hoists; and specialty builds such as log bunks and pole handling trucks. We also stock used grapple trucks, dump trucks and loaders.

Do you sell used grapple trucks?

Yes. Our used trucks are shop inspected and serviced before they go on the lot, and financing is available on used units. Inventory changes weekly, so check the Inventory page or call for today’s list. We also buy used grapple trucks and loaders outright.

How does ordering a new build work?

Three steps. First, tell an Iron Advisor what you haul, where you dump and what you drive today, and we lay out the chassis, body and loader that fit the work and the budget. Second, our certified upfit shop in North Florida mounts the body and loader, runs the hydraulics and electrical, and road tests the truck. Third, we deliver the truck with a walkthrough, parts on the shelf and a service team that already knows it.

Who typically buys trucks from Quality Trucks?

Tree care companies, land clearing and site contractors, storm and debris cleanup crews, hauling and construction businesses, and cities and counties. For municipal and fleet buyers we handle purchase orders, bid support and multi-unit pricing.

How long does a build take?

A typical build takes 3 to 4 weeks from the day the chassis arrives at our shop in Lake City. Chassis availability varies by make and model, so ask your Iron Advisor for a delivery date when you spec the truck.

Do you sell and deliver outside Florida?

Yes. We sell and deliver grapple trucks, dump trucks and roll-off trucks anywhere in the continental United States. Every truck is built in North Florida and delivered with a walkthrough.

How do I get a quote?

Call (386) 754-6186, use the form on our Contact page, or stop by either location. Tell us the work the truck will do and we will come back with a spec and a price.

Builds and specs

Which truck chassis brands do you build on?

Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, International and Western Star, on new or used chassis. If you already own a chassis, we can build on that too.

Which loader and grapple brands do you install?

Rotobec, Serco, Barko and Heiden loaders. For roll-off trucks we use Galfab hoists. We stock parts for all of them.

Can you build on a chassis I already own?

Yes. We mount new loaders and bodies on customer chassis, move an existing loader from an old truck to a new one, and rebuild tired loaders. Lighting, all weather cab and accessory packages are available on any build.

Can I choose the body length and options?

Yes. Debris and dump bodies are built to your length and wall height, and options include dump bodies, all weather cabs and lighting packages. Every build is designed with you before it goes to the shop.

Where are the trucks built?

Every truck is built in house in North Florida by our certified upfit shop, then road tested before delivery.

Service and parts

Do you service trucks you did not build?

Yes. Our Authorized Service Centers in Lake City and Belleview work on loaders, bodies, hydraulics and electrical on any grapple or dump truck, whether we built it or not.

What service work do you do?

Loader and grapple repair, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics, body and hoist repair, preventive maintenance and inspections, and upfits and rebuilds.

Where can I buy parts for my grapple truck?

On the shelf at both locations, or online any time at shopqepusa.com. We carry Rotobec, Serco, Barko and Heiden loader parts, hydraulic hoses and cylinders, grapple teeth, body wear parts and hardware.

Warranty

What warranty comes with a Quality Trucks build?

Our workmanship is warranted for 6 months from the date of purchase. The warranty is granted by Quality Equipment and Parts, Inc., and covers the work we do mounting and plumbing the body and loader. If a part or component we installed proves defective in material or workmanship during that period, we repair or replace it at our discretion, and the replacement is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

What is not covered by the workmanship warranty?

The cab, chassis, tires and engine, which are covered by the truck manufacturer; parts we did not install; damage from misuse, negligence or an accident; extraordinary wear or exposure; normal wear items such as bushings, hydraulic lines, oil, filters and lights; and travel time, mileage, shipping and towing. Loaders, hoists and other manufactured products we install carry their own manufacturer warranty (Rotobec, Serco, Barko, Heiden, Galfab), and claims on those follow the manufacturer’s policy.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Notify us within 30 days of discovering the problem and schedule delivery of the truck for repair. Warranty repairs are performed at our Lake City facility or at another facility we authorize in writing with a warranty authorization number. Continuing to run the truck with a known defective part can cause further damage that the warranty does not cover, so call as soon as you notice an issue.

Financing

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We take your application to our lending partners and bring back the options. Choices include standard equipment loans on new and used trucks, leases with the option to buy, upgrade or return, and seasonal payment schedules for businesses whose work follows the weather. Most of the paperwork is handled in one sitting at the store.

Can I trade in my current truck or loader?

Yes. Put your current truck or loader toward the next one. We also buy used grapple trucks and loaders outright if you are not replacing them.

Do you work with cities, counties and fleets?

Yes. We handle purchase orders, bid support and multi-unit pricing for municipalities and contractors.
